She helps me forget about 9/11
Avenged Sevenfold and the Rockstar Uproar Festival have partnered with a station I know well from my days at the Hartford Advocate — WCCC.
Together, the three are raising funds to honor the 10th anniversary of September 11 this year. The tour and the band will both make a dollar-for-dollar match of all donations up to $10,000 made through the station’s official Web site from now through September 11.
The money raised will be donated to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation and the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund. Trust me — the dudes at ‘CCC will not be spending it on lap dances in the juice bar at the Gold Club.
That’s what I would do. Why? Because I’m still traumatized from 9/11, and I need some all-nude stripper fun to deal with it. I mean, to see the city I love under attack, and the thought of those buildings no longer being there…it tears me up, fucker. I need puss in my face to forget the pain.
The Uproar Tour actually hits Hartford on September 11.
